What do you think?

Here's a little review I made https://youtu.be/fRVf7bGolLk

This is my entry for Genre Mash Jam 2021

The theme is Reusable.

I wanted to create run n gun with match 3 elements however the theme baffled me. After some brainstorming, I decided to create this game: match 3 game with run n gun elements.

Controls:

NumPad keys = move Puss and aim shots

Z = Jump

X = Shoot (can shoot in 8 directions)

Enter = Pause or confirm

F8 = Take screenshot

Features:

- Continuous shooting by holding shoot button.

- 8 directional shooting.

- 2 modes:

  - Story mode, jam version has 10 levels while post jam version has 50 levels.
  - Endless mode, jam version has only 1 level while post jam version has 3 levels.
- Boss fights!

- Reusability element: Rejected boxes will be dropped on field

- Cool tracks by Eric Matyas.

Enjoy this fun Run n Gun Puzzler!

Robo Magi has good looking front layer set so I decided to use that to create new background set for this game. Here's how new bg set in game.

Old background set is too plain so for updated version, I've drawn new background sets. Here are shots showing them:

As posted before, here's stage select I've worked on.

It starts with just one block active but after clearing certain levels, more blocks will be active allowing players to choose where to start playing.

For screenshot saturday, here are some shots of new level I've constructed for Puzzle Puss.

I'm constructing level select feature ATM. I'll show screenshot once I'm satisfied with it.

More levels have been constructed in the past couple days and 1st boss is officially spoiled (4th shot)

Serious bug has been fixed, new enemy has been created and more levels have been constructed as seen in these shots.

Puzzle Puss is getting updates.

First : new levels are being constructed

Second: new enemies are made

Third: bugs are debugged

For this week's screenshot saturday, I present you some shots from my latest game: Puzzle Puss.
